Belarus Imposes Temporary Ban on Export of Certain Industrial Goods
18:57 01 September 2026
Belarus is introducing a temporary ban on the export of certain types of industrial goods. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, BELTA was informed by the government's press service.
Starting September 23, 2026, a temporary ban on the export of certain types of industrial goods will be introduced for six months in order to prevent their unjustified export from the territory of Belarus and to avoid shortages of such goods on the domestic market.
In particular, the list of goods subject to the temporary export ban has been updated. Goods have been excluded for which a permit-based export procedure is considered impractical given enforcement practice, due to the complete absence of export applications during the restrictive measure or their insignificant number. In addition, goods exported outside the country to the distribution network of Belarusian organizations abroad or to special representatives have been excluded, as well as goods whose export and technical maintenance is complicated by the need to obtain export permits.
Based on the practical application of the measure, additional cases have been established in which coordination of the export of goods is not required.
