To harvest the crop on time and without losses – that is the goal of 28-year-old driver Alexander Volodko of Brestsky Agrariy OJSC during the harvesting campaign. He worked as always: diligently, responsibly, and wholeheartedly. He himself did not expect that as a result he would be among the best young vehicle drivers of the first region.

By the way, this is not the first victory in the professional's life: for the past several years Alexander has taken prize places in the district Harvest Festival competitions. He says that to achieve an excellent result during the harvesting campaign, he needed patience and perseverance, and the desire to help colleagues in their shared useful endeavor. He worked almost without days off, his workday lasting from eight in the morning until eight in the evening, and sometimes until eleven p.m. All this time, his beloved girlfriend Anastasia Stanchuk, an agronomist specializing in seed production, was by his side. Together they stayed late, fulfilling their work duties and helping each other whenever possible. And the support of a loved one means a great deal in any endeavor! As a result, during the harvesting campaign, Alexander Volodko transported 2,094 tons of grain, rapeseed, and leguminous crops in his six-year-old MAZ dump truck.

The best rest for the driver of Brestsky Agrariy OJSC is sleep. If possible – fishing. Now the young man can quietly think about what to do in his free time. However, there is still plenty of work, and it comes first.

…Alexander Volodko did not come to Brestsky Agrariy OJSC by chance: his father, Vitaly Stanislavovich, worked there as a farm machinery operator for 25 years. He says that after completing his mandatory military service, he wanted to gain driving experience. The ability to drive a truck, along with a Category C license, was acquired by the young man at courses arranged through the military registration office before he was drafted for service. Prior to that, he graduated from the Brest State College of Instrument Making and worked for eight months at the electric lamp factory in his specialty as a process equipment adjuster.

At Brestsky Agrariy OJSC, Alexander got behind the wheel of a MAZ cargo truck with a load capacity of 10 tons. The vehicle was from 2005, and it was on this truck that he gained professional experience. A year later, in 2020, the young and promising driver was entrusted with a new dump truck.

"The load capacity is the same, but the difference in how the vehicles operate is enormous," says our hero. "The new MAZ has pneumatic seats, a different transmission, a more powerful engine, the motor runs more quietly, the cab is more comfortable, there's an air conditioner... Overall, it's a slightly different technical configuration. I like working on a dump truck. With such a vehicle, you can achieve high work results. Of course, if you put your effort and soul into the work.
