Yuri Valevaty inspected agro-industrial facilities of the Zhlobin District

A working trip across the Zhlobin District was made by Presidential Aide – Inspector for the Gomel Region Yuri Valevaty. Together with the chairman of the district executive committee Sergei Yarets, he visited agricultural and processing facilities.

The first stop on the route was the dairy and commercial complex under construction at JSC "Bobovsky," designed to house 986 head of cattle. The farm director Ivan Naumenko reported on the progress of construction and the completion deadlines. Yuri Valevaty examined the facilities being built and inquired about how convenient the facility would be in operation and what decisions had been made to reduce construction costs. The staffing issue was discussed separately – the availability of workers and the prospects for retaining young specialists.

"It is important to automate processes in order to reduce labor costs," Yuri Nikolaevich stressed, pointing out that modern technologies should be built in already at the construction stage.

The next stop was the operating dairy and commercial complex "Novy Tsuper" at SPU "Antonovka-Agro" – an agricultural branch of RPUE "Gomeloblgaz." The facility has been operating for more than two years. The enterprise director Igor Klimenko showed the production premises and spoke about the conditions for keeping the animals. The design of the cow barns makes it possible to maintain a normal microclimate even in extreme heat, which directly affects the well-being of the herd and productivity. The conversation touched on the feed base, current milk yield indicators, as well as the arrangement of preventive facilities for calves – two sheds are being equipped there for raising young stock aged from three to nine months. After inspecting the facility, Yuri Nikolaevich noted SPU "Antonovka-Agro" as an example of effective production organization.

The final stop of the trip was JSC "AFPC "Zhlobin Meat Processing Plant." The enterprise director Sergei Prudnikov guided the Presidential Aide through the workshops, cold storage chambers, and the finished products section, where stewed meat is produced. The guests also visited the company store. Yuri Valevaty emphasized that the pace of development must be increased. He outlined for the management of the meat processing plant the specific areas in which the enterprise should move more actively.
