The new workshop of Belakt is a key innovative project.
Yuri Karayev, Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, visited the Volkovysk OJSC Belakt, reports Pul 4 Region. He was briefed on the construction of a new workshop for dry infant nutrition and a workshop for semi-finished products.
The regional head noted that the enterprise plays a significant role in the country's economy, and its products have long become a national brand.
The new workshop of Belakt is a key innovative project of the processing industry of the Grodno region – alongside the construction of a new workshop of “Milk World” in Skidel and the workshop of the Lida Milk-Canning Combine.
Belakt – the sole producer of dry infant nutrition in Belarus – is implementing a large-scale investment project. The new workshop for producing dry infant formulas according to GMP standards will double production volumes – from 7.5 thousand to 15 thousand tons per year.
The total cost of the project is estimated at 380 million Belarusian rubles. Implementation will allow additional processing of 61 thousand tons of milk per year and create 60 new jobs. Commissioning of the facility is planned for 2028.
