The VI Forum of Rural Youth of Gomel Region was held in the agrocity of Liaskavichi. The event brought together more than 100 young specialists and workers from the agricultural-industrial complex from all corners of the region. The program of the forum began with a solemn opening and a ceremony of laying wreaths at the military cemetery. Then the working youth joined the patriotic action "With Symbols We Are Proud!" Participants of the forum took a joint photo from bird's-eye view with an eight-meter flag of the Republic of Belarus.
The youth delegation moved to the Museum of Nature of the Pridisi National Park. It was here that the key event of the forum took place – an open dialogue with the participation of Gomel Oblast Executive Committee Chairman Ivan Krupko and the President's Assistant – Inspector Yuri Valyavatov of Gomel Oblast.
The main theme for discussion became consolidating modern-generation cadres in agriculture.
Regional leader Ivan Krupko emphasized that comprehensive personnel management in the deep countryside and retaining people in agroreefs and villages is an unconditional priority and one of the main elements of state policy: – In the country, the strategy of strong regions is being implemented. The key task is to ensure that no district falls behind, but all develop evenly. Conditions in the village are improving in all directions: from the production sphere to health care, sports, culture, from business opportunities to tourism
Young agrarians visited the commercial farm "Brynёv" of the AAT "Agra-Lyaskavichi", where they familiarized themselves with the technology of raising Aberdeen-Angus beef cattle. The housing conditions, feed base, modern equipment – all of this aroused lively interest among the youth.
The next stop was the museum of the National Park "Pripyatsky". Participants got acquainted with the unique flora and fauna of the Polesie region, learned about the wealth of protected territories, the lifestyle and traditions of the Polesians.
The final point of the route of the VI Forum of Rural Youth was a visit to the safari park. After an eventful day – meetings, excursions, and getting acquainted with creativity – participants were able to relax and enjoy the living nature of Polesie. The park's animal world, picturesque landscapes, and fresh air became a worthy finale to the day.
