Belarus's gold and foreign exchange reserves as of October 1, 2026 amounted to $14.633 billion, down $609 million in September, the National Bank reports.
The National Bank explained that the reduction in reserve volume was due to a decline in gold prices on international markets.
The volume of monetary gold in the reserves fell to $7.2376 billion, while foreign‑currency assets rose to $5.9917 billion. At the same time, the current level of gold and foreign exchange reserves exceeds the monetary‑policy target for year‑end by more than $5.4 billion.
