The gold and foreign exchange reserves of Belarus as of October 1, 2026, amounted to $14,633 billion, decreasing by $609 million in September, according to the National Bank.

The National Bank explained that the reduction in the volume of reserves is due to the decrease in the price of gold on international markets.

The volume of monetary gold in the reserves decreased to $7,2376 billion, while assets in foreign currency increased to $5,9917 billion. At the same time, the current volume of gold and foreign exchange reserves exceeds the target indicator of monetary policy by more than $5,4 billion by the end of the year.
