
On September 9, a meeting of the commission for the prevention of occupational injuries and professional diseases was held at the Department of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Raion Executive Committee, with the participation of Alexander Klimenkov, deputy head of the Krichivsky Interdistrict Department of the Mogilev Regional Department of the State Labor Inspection.
The most frequent violations in enterprises and the procedure for ensuring safe working conditions in the district’s organizations were discussed.
From January to August 2026, the Kostyukovich District’s organizations experienced an increase in occupational injuries compared with the same period in 2025. The number of workers injured on the job rose to six (two of whom died), whereas in the corresponding period of 2025 it was one.
The causes and circumstances of three accidents that occurred in June and August at Branch No. 1 “Cemagro” of the Belarus Cement Plant and in the cement grinding workshop of BCS were examined. The reasons for the accidents vary from organization to organization – personal carelessness, unpredictable animal behavior.
Tamara Shuranova, deputy chief physician of the central district hospital, explained the procedure for conducting preliminary and periodic mandatory medical examinations. The issue of fire safety in the district’s organizations during the autumn‑winter period was addressed by Denis Andreev, deputy head of the ROKS.
– This is not the first time that during such meetings we talk about the safety of workers, where human life takes priority. A lax attitude from managers and senior specialists is unacceptable here; creating safe working conditions is priority number one, – summed up Alexander Anatolyevich Klimenkov.
