In Mogilev, workers received additional pay for night shifts with the help of the trade union

MogilevNEWS.by 02.09.2026 About 350 workers of one of the largest industrial enterprises in Mogilev received the additional pay they were owed for night work. Labor rights inspector of the Mogilev regional organization of the BELPROFASH workers' trade union, Polina Teterova, helped restore the workers' labor rights.

The enterprise's workers regularly worked night shifts and were engaged in overtime work. The employer paid them an overtime allowance, however the additional pay for work from 22:00 to 6:00 was not calculated.

As Polina Teterova noted, the Labor Code provides for additional pay of at least 20% of the hourly rate for each hour of night work.

"This is not the employer's right, but their obligation. We examined every document, verified the timesheets, and prepared a submission regarding the elimination of violations," the labor rights inspector emphasized.

After the trade union's intervention, the employer conducted a full recalculation. The workers were paid all the funds they were owed for night work.

A total of about 350 employees of the enterprise received the additional pay.
