Popular wisdom says: “Autumn is work eight.” For the farmers of the collective farm “Chigirinka” and the RUP “Belorusneft‑Mogilevoblneftprodukt,” these words are not just a proverb, but a work rhythm.

An autumn reserve for the future harvest

The current state of affairs is a good indicator. Two high-performance KVK combines are being used to harvest silage from corn. Dmitry Konyukhov works on one of them, and Vitaly Shevtsov works on the other. The work is currently being done on fields in the area of the village of Borki, and the silage mass is being stored in Chigirinka. To ensure that the feed is delivered in a timely manner and that the choppers do not stand idle, 7-8 units of equipment are being used to transport the green mass. Therefore, the green conveyor is working like clockwork.

The tamping of the silage mass is being carried out in a coordinated manner: several pits have already been tamped, hermetically sealed, and are waiting for their maturation. Alexander Smolovsky and Meilis Myradov are in charge of tamping the feed. The winter rapeseed, which occupies 150 hectares, is under the special care of the agricultural service of the farm. It was sown on time, has long since turned green, and has spread out across the fields like a lush carpet. However, the warm autumn has caused the plant to grow intensively. To prevent the rapeseed from growing too much and to ensure it winters well, it was treated with special preparations in a timely manner, and a complex of chemical treatments was also carried out. Viktor Dants ov is involved in these protective measures.

The success of the autumn campaign in Chigirinka is based on a thoughtful approach and care for the people. The farm is fully provided with high-quality seeds and fuel and lubricants, as well as the necessary fertilizers. The comfort of the field workers is also not forgotten: the machine operators are provided with hot meals right at their workplaces. All work is being carried out in a comprehensive, operational, high-quality, and disciplined manner - which means that a solid foundation will be laid for next year's harvest and the livestock feed base.
