Autumn work continues in the fields of the Mstislavl District. Farmers are carrying it out comprehensively, because every detail matters for success in agriculture.

In the agricultural enterprises of the Mstislavl region, sowing of winter cereals is actively underway. According to the district executive committee's agriculture and food department, sowing work is 71% complete of the target. At the same time, plowing and soil preparation, including the lifting of fallow land, are underway.

The seed plots of perennial grasses have been threshed, and farmers are finishing threshing the seed crops of leguminous grasses.

Work on the corn fields continues. For silage preparation for cattle feed, this valuable forage crop has been harvested on an area of 2,433 hectares, or 64% of the target. About 50 thousand tons of silage mass have been prepared.

Also, farms in the district have begun harvesting corn for grain. The first hectares have been threshed at OAO Oktyabr and Mazolovskoe. Management, specialists, and machine operators are satisfied with the yield.

— Harvesting corn is a challenging task, but it is doable, — says Alexander Ignatenko, director of the agricultural enterprise. — Corn is not only a high-yielding crop; it is an energetic, high-calorie feed.

We have grown a good harvest. I am confident that we will also handle the harvesting in a timely manner.

At OAO Oktyabr, two combines have gone out for the harvest. This responsible work site has been entrusted to combine operator Aleksandr Solodkiy and engineer Aleksandr Shenderov.

Grain transportation is carried out by tractors. A full load of ripe corn is ready to be taken to the grain-drying complex by Vladimir Bodelev.
