The winner of the grain and legume harvesting competition in the Mstislavsky district has been recognized as OAO "Oktyabr". The total grain production (excluding corn for grain) amounted to 5768 tons. The average yield of grain and legume crops was 37.9 centners per hectare. From one ballo-hectare of sown area, 115.3 kilograms were obtained. The agricultural enterprise's grain growers also ensured 100% fulfillment of the plan for grain delivery for state needs.
What allowed the farmers of "Oktyabr" to once again become the best in the district in terms of grain production?
— To obtain a good harvest of grain crops, it is necessary to qualitatively perform a complex of works and adhere to technology, says Alexander Ignatenko, director of the agricultural enterprise. This is a well-known truth. The first component is the sowing of winter and spring grains and legumes. It was carried out in optimal terms with elite seeds and seeds of the first reproduction.
In this farm, special attention is paid to selection and procurement of seed material. This allows not only to ensure high germination but also to adapt crops to local climatic conditions.
The second component is the observance of crop rotation, high-quality soil preparation, and the application of mineral and organic fertilizers.
The third is timely care for crops, protection from diseases and weeds. Microelements are applied in a timely manner, and foliar fertilizers are carried out. The specialists of the agricultural enterprise monitor the condition of the fields, which allows them to respond promptly to any changes.
The result is professionalism and diligence
It is also important to have a conscientious attitude towards the work performed by each person involved in fieldwork. Ordinary workers and specialists of the farm conscientiously fulfill their duties at all stages of grain cultivation and harvesting.
Among those who achieved the best results in the harvest, there is a combine harvester crew consisting of senior combine operator Oleg Streletsky and combine operator Dmitry Silchenko. They have 1386 conditional tons of harvested grain to their credit. This, by the way, is the third result in the district. The crew consisting of Andrey Reztsov and Evgeny Groerov harvested 1173 tons of grain from the combine bunker. The third place belongs to the crew of brothers Vadim Ignatenko and Ilya Ignatenko. They harvested 973 tons of grain. The young duo has almost 1500 tons of harvested grain in the overall standings, including rapeseed.

The leader in grain transportation from combines is Vladimir Shugayev (1359 tons). Sergey Keshikov (1293 tons) and Vasily Grishanov (1167 tons) exceeded thousand-ton results.
About four and a half thousand tons of bread were processed by the grain drying unit team. Operators Alexander Sudilovsky, Anatoly Sudilovsky, Alexey Titov, and Vladislav Buzyak worked responsibly and conscientiously.
It is also impossible to underestimate the importance of the contribution to the common cause of Deputy Director for Production Petr Lavnikov, agronomist for seed production Anna Khodorovich, and Chief Engineer Alexander Shenderov.
The "Oktyabr" team is not just workers, it's a real family united by a common goal. Each person understands that the result of their labor is reflected not only in the economy of the enterprise but also in their personal well-being. A sense of responsibility and dedication to the cause contributes to increased productivity and creates an atmosphere of mutual support.
The secret to the success of the farmers is not only in the use of modern technologies and high-quality seeds. The result depends on the unity of the team, which works towards a single goal - to ensure a stable and high yield. This year, they not only confirmed their achievements but also laid the foundation for the next agricultural season.
