Online water quality monitoring and a large-scale upgrade. By the end of the year, more than 65 kilometers of water supply and drainage networks in Minsk will be replaced.
The relocation of communications is already in its final stage. Reconstruction of the treatment plant is also underway. Work is being carried out in all areas. Two of them will be resolved by the new year. To enable more rapid water quality control in the capital, an interactive monitoring map is being tested, which will allow problems to be addressed as quickly as possible.
We have developed and are already in the initial stage of implementing an online turbidity map for the city of Minsk. Simply put, turbidity sensors, turbidity meters, have been installed at the most important points. And we see the water quality situation in the city in real time. Each year we will increase the number of turbidity sensors so that we can respond more promptly and more precisely to possible changes in water supply quality in Minsk.
In Minsk, the preparation of systems for the autumn‑winter period has been completed. Specialists checked fire hydrants, hydraulic structures, and pumping equipment. Another area of winter preparation is snow‑melting points. Currently, there are two such facilities in the capital. A third one is planned to be finished in November before the start of snowfall.
