On September 23, a meeting was held of the permanent commission on housing and communal services, landscaping, land use, ecology, urban planning and transport at the Bobruisk City Council of Deputies chaired by Lyudmila Dyba. The focus is on the readiness of the city utilities for the autumn-winter period, implementation of the state program "Ecology" and the fight against the spread of invasive plants.

The upcoming winter is a time of increased responsibility for municipal services. How well prepared the heat sources, engineering networks, residential stock and city infrastructure are directly determine the comfort and safety of residents.

About the readiness of Bobruisk for work in the autumn-winter period 2026/2027 reported the head of the Housing and Communal Services department of the city administration, Tatiana Solonovich. As of September 1, 710 readiness passports for consumers of thermal energy were received (target 711), 88 readiness passports for heat sources - in full volume. For the heating season, 1008 residential buildings have been prepared, including 807 houses with central heating. In buildings and at heating points, hydropneumatic cleaning, preventive repair and compression of heating systems have been carried out, thermal insulation and electrical equipment brought up to order, glazing of public areas completed. 19,654 square meters of roofing and 15,267 linear meters of wall panel joints have been repaired.

Updating of heating networks continues. In 2025, the indicator for their replacement was fully completed: with an assignment of 8.73 kilometers replaced 9.357 kilometers of networks. At the meeting, particular attention was paid by Alexander Shostak, General Director of the municipal utility 'Bobruiskzhilkomkhoz', to fuel and anti-icing material stocks. In the municipal boiler and heat supply facility, 9.8 thousand solid cubic meters of wood fuel have already been prepared, which is 83.9 percent of the set target. The commission recommended that municipal services complete the formation of the necessary stocks within the established deadlines, and that KUP 'DEP g. Bobruysk' ensure the availability of 100% anti-icing materials by October 15.

Another important topic was the implementation in the city of the state program 'Ecology' for 2026–2030. Anatoly Grib, head of the Bobruisk City District Inspectorate for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, reported that in the first half of the year the level of utilization of solid municipal waste in Bobruisk amounted to 47.09 percent against a target of 47 percent.

From January to June, 18,529.32 tonnes of secondary material resources were collected – significantly exceeding the target set for the second quarter.

Another agenda item was related to the spread of invasive plants. In the second quarter, 23,200 rubles were allocated to these purposes. KUP "DEP Bobruisk" completed work on mowing and herbicide treatment of Canadian goldenrod over an area of 10.655 hectares. The activities took place around the streets of National Unity, Dneprospitsky Flotilya, Zhukovsky, Lenina, at the intersection of Sikorsky and Bereziny streets, as well as near PGSK-16 and the recreation spot "Forstadt".

Work on preparing the city for winter, maintaining engineering networks, urban beautification, and protecting natural territories requires constant control and coordinated efforts from all involved services. Discussion at the commission meeting enabled identification of both already completed tasks and directions that require additional attention.
