For an agricultural organization, the forage harvesting campaign is a particularly important and intense period—a time when the wintering of livestock and the food security of the enterprise for the entire coming year are decided. To see how this work is organized, an "LK" correspondent went to the "Urozhayny" joint-stock company.
In the fields of the farm, a full-fledged forage harvesting conveyor is in operation. At the head of the column is the self-propelled forage harvester KVK-800, a modern multifunctional machine designed for mowing, chopping, and loading green mass into transport vehicles. Operated by Andrei Sychev, an experienced specialist who knows the value of every hectare and every minute.
Also involved here is the KRONE BiG X 680 forage harvester, a machine of maximum productivity with a power of 687 hp. It impresses not only with its efficiency and chopping quality but also with its comfort and ease of operation. These two powerful units ensure a high pace of corn harvesting for silage.
The transportation of the green mass is organized no less smoothly. A whole team of mechanics works on this section. Andrei Skochko drives a Kirovets K-742M tractor with a PSS-25 trailer. Notably, his daughter Anna works alongside her father, driving a domestic heavy-duty truck. This is a vivid example of how devotion to the land is passed down from generation to generation. Vasily Kabik works on an identical Kirovets K-742M with a PSS-25 trailer. Andrei Maksimchik operates an MTZ-1221 tractor with a PMF-20 trailer, Dmitry Danilenko is at the wheel of an MTZ-1221 with a PS-45, Alexander Katsubo drives an MTZ-1221 with a PSTB-17, and Aleksey Kononov works on an MTZ-1523 with a PST-9 trailer. Vladimir Sushchenok and Andrei Gavrienko pilot KAMAZ trucks, Vitaliy Aleksandrontsev drives another MAZ. Other workers of the farm also join them on the transport line, ensuring the continuity of the forage harvesting process. All of them work in a coordinated and synchronized manner, preventing the harvesters or the trench from standing idle.
