The order of using charitable accounts for providing medical assistance has changed. Physical persons who opened such accounts before September 12, 2026, to collect funds for medical assistance, including the purchase of medicines, nutritional support, medical products, and equipment, must complete the actions provided for in Presidential Decree No. 304 "On Funds and Charitable Activities in the Healthcare Sphere" by November 12 of the current year. Their list depends on the conditions of the account opening.

Belarusbank emphasizes that account holders should go to the branch where the account was opened to provide documents and bring contracts in accordance with the Decree.

In accordance with this Decree, physical persons may open charitable accounts for collecting funds for medical assistance exclusively for:

  • themselves due to need for medical assistance;
  • a spouse (spouses), close relatives (parents, adoptive parents, children, including adopted children, close brothers and sisters, grandparents, grandmothers, grandchildren);
  • minors or adults under the guardianship or custodianship of the account holder.

If the existing account does not meet these conditions, the client is required to transfer all funds on it to charitable accounts opened strictly in accordance with the Decree.

If the account is opened in favor of persons listed above, the owner is required to provide within the established period a package of documents, including:

  • a medical document confirming the person's illness, issued in accordance with the legislation on administrative procedures;
  • copies of documents proving kinship or adoption/guardianship, or a copy of an adoption/guardianship/guardianship decision (custodianship).

In addition, the account holder must eliminate duplicate accounts. If more than one charitable account was opened for the same purpose, all savings must be transferred to a single main account (taking into account the Decree requirements), and the others must be closed.

If ordinary (non-charitable) current or other bank accounts were used to collect charitable funds, the client is required to ensure the transfer of all accumulated funds to the official charitable account.
