Turning area and dispatcher station. What's happening on Kulman Street

Work is underway at the intersection of Kulman Street, Karastoynov Street, and Kropotkin Street in Minsk, where a new roundabout platform is being constructed and the "Kulman" dispatch station is being built.

Old residents recall that even during Soviet times there was already a dispatch station and a bus turnaround area there, but then it was moved to the end of Karastoynov Street, where an automobile parking lot was developed. And now public transport is returning here.

The old "Kulman" Dispatch Station Building

We have already written that the reconstruction of Karastoynov Street, which is currently being extended to ensure transportation connectivity with the new residential district in the northern part of the capital, necessitated the demolition of the "Karastoynovaya" dispatch station. To provide transportation support, it was decided to replace it with a new station located at the intersection of this street with Kulman Street and Kropotkin Street.

At the site of the "Karastoynovaya" Dispatch Station, the street is undergoing reconstruction.

Along with the construction of the building, the adjacent transport infrastructure is also being reconstructed. Public discussion of this project took place last autumn.

After the opening of the "Kulman" platform, the organization of passenger transport route schemes will be carried out. This was announced on its website by the state enterprise "Stolny Transport i Svyaz."

For example, the operation of tram routes #22, 40, 40A from M.Bogdanovich Street will be organized up to the Kulman DS along Kulman Street, Kropotkin Street, V. Hurozh Boulevard, Khakovskaya Street, in the opposite direction—along Khakovskaya Street, V. Hurozh Boulevard, and further along other routes. In this way, passenger transport movement along Shevchenko Boulevard and Khakovskaya Street will be restored in both directions.

The operation of bus routes #44, 136 will be organized up to the Kulman DS, following the segment from Leonid Bedy Street to Nekrasova Street, Karastoynov Street in both directions.

For bus routes #19, 68, 105, 105D, 131, the passenger boarding point is moving from the "Park Druzby Narodov" stop to the Kulman DS.

The routes of bus #29, 154 and the tram route #92 will be temporarily preserved without changes.

Subsequent changes to passenger transport routes along Kulman Street and Karastoynov Street, and the Northern Bank microdistrict, will take into account the schedule for completing the reconstruction of Karastoynov Street, extending it to Yosif Langbard Street, and equipping the new roundabout at the site of the former "Karastoynovaya" dispatch station.

Information about the dates and details of changes to the route network will be provided on the official website of the state enterprise "Capital Transport and Communication".
