The organizer of the professional competition "Best Mentor" and "Best in Profession among Young Workers" was the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus. The competition is being announced at the republican level for the first time.

The purpose of the competition is to develop mentorship, identify effective practice-oriented approaches in individual work with young workers, generalize and disseminate advanced mentorship experience, and increase employees' motivation to engage in mentorship. A feature of the competition is the division of participants into several categories taking into account industry specifics. This approach will allow an objective assessment of workers' professional achievements.

Thus, the title "Best Mentor" will be awarded in three categories: in the production sector (industry, construction, agriculture), in the infrastructure and services sector (energy, transport, communications, housing and communal services, forestry, trade, banks), and in the social sector. In turn, the title "Best in Profession among Young Workers" will also be awarded in three analogous categories.

Employees who are trade union members and demonstrate high performance in labor, scientific, or practice-oriented activities, implement new technologies and advanced experience, and also actively participate in public activities are invited to take part in the competition.

Nomination of candidates will take place directly within labor collectives. The decision on an employee's participation in the competition is made by the trade union committee with the participation of authorized employer representatives. Further, the competitive selection is conducted at the industry and regional levels. Applications that have passed the preliminary selection must be submitted to the FPB by March 5, 2027.

The solemn awarding of the winners of the first-ever approved republican competition will take place on Labor Day – May 1 of the coming year.
