In a conversation with journalists on the eve of the regional Dozhinki, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko noted that in recent years our region has confidently produced more than a million tons of grain from cereals and rapeseed oilseeds.

"Thanks to corn grain, we plan to reach last year's total harvest. Over the past two years, the region has not only fully supplied the livestock industry with its own grain, but also created a carryover stock for the next year," emphasized the regional head.

An excellent result has been achieved in rapeseed harvesting. The total harvest of oilseeds showed steady growth, and yields on the best plots surpassed records from previous years. In total, 144,400 tons of rapeseed oilseeds were obtained, which is twice last year's volume.
