The Dedykov agro-homestead invites guests to relax from the city bustle, celebrate a significant event, or simply go fishing all year round. It welcomes both large noisy companies and families with small children.
Away from the City Bustle
The agro-homestead is located 35 kilometers from Zhlobin, in the village of Verkhnyaya Olba. This is an environmentally friendly place, as the nearest industrial facility is dozens of kilometers away. The site is surrounded by a forest, and the Zherelo and Dnieper rivers flow nearby.
How did it all begin? The owner of the homestead, Lyudmila Dedyk, graduated from the Minsk Institute of Culture in 1987 with a specialization in "organization and conduct of celebrations". After working for some time in an auto club, and then as a music teacher in a school, Lyudmila Eduardovna decided to start a business. Her husband, Alexey Grigorievich, supported her, and they opened the "Na Rostanyakh" cafe, and then the "Vernisage" trade house. In 2009, the couple came up with the idea to establish an agro-homestead, which they named "Dedykov".
Today, this tourist complex can satisfy any requests from vacationers. Are you looking for seclusion in nature or a place for a wedding, family celebration, meeting with friends, or a corporate event? You've come to the right place. It's cozy and spacious here. The complex offers eight rooms, a huge banquet hall with an area of 100 square meters.
Up to 30 people can comfortably stay overnight, and the format of the event without accommodation allows for up to 85 guests. There are convenient children's beds for families with kids. The territory also features two gazebos for 16 and 120 people, which can be rented separately. Most often, guests from Zhlobin, Minsk, Gomel, and Svetlogorsk come to relax here.
The homestead harmoniously combines historical artifacts and modern gadgets. For example, a museum exhibition is located in the hall, introducing us to the everyday objects of our ancestors: a kerosene lamp, an old samovar, an iron, a spinning wheel, a butter churn, and others. Next to them are two music centers, a karaoke system, and a TV. Musical instruments have also found their place here: an accordion, a guitar, and a drum. If guests know how to play them, they can take the opportunity to delight their audience with a familiar melody or song.
Fishing, Bathhouse, Trampoline, and More
Upper Olba is a place of active leisure for fishermen and mushroom pickers. Forgotten your fishing rod or binoculars? No problem, the estate will provide all that for rent. Vacationers can take a boat ride along the Dnepro, go on an excursion to the Smychok landscape reserve, or admire the 19th-century Holy Pokrov Church in the neighboring village of Streshin.
After spending time in nature, you can steam yourself in a Russian bath and dip into a heated pool. By the way, they also sell bath brooms here. For those who love physical activity, there are billiards, a tennis table, equipment for playing gorodki, volleyball and basketball courts. Shooting from a pneumatic rifle and riding a tricycle can add some drive. The agro estate has created all the conditions for a dynamic vacation and a great mood.
Children will not get bored here either: there are sandboxes, swings, and a trampoline at their disposal. On a special playground, you can feed goats and sheep, and on a rainy day, play board games.
Vacationers are even offered a ride on a tractor.
"Children and adults are delighted with the tractor," says the hostess. "Such local entertainment is remembered by our guests for a long time."
A taste of real Belarusian cuisine
The estate's visiting card is the dishes of national Belarusian cuisine. The hostess, Lyudmila Eduardovna, cooks in such a way that the taste is impossible to forget. The rich menu includes over 40 hot dishes, as well as dozens of author's salads and snacks. Guests are served delicious draniki and kolduny, aromatic stew in pots, golubtsi, tender fried liver, fluffy pancakes, and homemade cheese from goat's milk. For lovers of shashlik, pilaf, and dishes cooked on coals, a zone with a mangal and a cauldron is equipped. The secret of an unforgettable taste is simple: all products are exclusively homemade. The spouses have a large subsidiary farm - they breed chickens, geese, rabbits, sheep, and goats. They grow tomatoes, cucumbers, and fresh greens in greenhouses, and vegetables in the garden.
New rules - new opportunities
Today, in Belarus, agroecotourism is a serious business that requires an individual approach and significant financial investments. The Presidential Decree No. 275 "On the Development of Agroecotourism" has opened up new horizons for entrepreneurs in this field. The state has extended the terms of preferential loans from Belagroprombank to 8 years for companies and to 10 years for individuals, completely abolishing limits on loan amounts. For estates in remote regions, a tax alternative has been introduced - a fixed collection of 45 rubles. Additionally, owners have been allowed to accommodate more guests, increasing the limit on living rooms to 15, and have been granted the right to provide a wider range of tourist services.
Thus, rural tourism in our country has received a powerful impetus, resulting in an increase in the number of unique agro-estates, an improvement in the level of service, and the hospitable estate "Dedikov" continues to create comfortable conditions for rest.
