Threads as a synonym for dialogue: Lida region enterprises embrace new social network

Social media today is not just a way to pass the time. It is a platform where public opinion is formed. For businesses, presence in the digital space is a matter of reputation, trust, and information security. The audience is accustomed to getting news from their feed and expects dialogue rather than just reading. If an organization is silent on social media, rumors and alternative versions fill the vacuum. Therefore, managing media platforms has become an integral part of a company's activities.

In the Lida district, this issue was approached systematically. After assessing how enterprises manage their social media pages, Pavel Ivut, the director and chief editor of the state institution "Lida Media Company," initiated a series of training seminars. The idea was supported by the district executive committee. Thus, the topic of digital communication was elevated to the level of the entire district, not just individual organizations.

The meeting brought together the ideological leaders of enterprises and specialists managing social media accounts for organizations. It was attended by Anna Kent, head of the ideological work and youth affairs department of the Lida District Executive Committee, Pavel Ivut, and Marina Antonenko, a correspondent for the internet resource.

The head of the media holding explained how new formats fit into the system of ideological work and why presence on dialogue platforms strengthens reputation. Threads today is not "just another social network" but a space for genuine contact with the audience, which corporate accounts use more and more frequently.

"Threads is a synonym for dialogue," noted Pavel Ivanovich. "Here, the one who wins is not the one who publishes perfect press releases, but the one who knows how to listen and respond. And most importantly: an account should not be a formal copy of other resources. If you duplicate data from websites and other social media, the audience will quickly sense it and move on. This platform requires a special tone, its own topics, and character."

According to him, the platform's strength lies in informal dialogue: it is important to answer questions, gather feedback, learn people's opinions, and show those who are behind the brand's development. Quick reaction to criticism is also crucial—timely notices and posted responses build trust. Thanks to recommendations and discussions, publications reach far beyond the existing circle and find new audiences. The most valuable asset is the audience's trust, and "live" posts and readiness for open conversation are precisely what build loyalty and image.

The practical part proved to be no less important. Marina Antonenko, who handles account management and content creation at LidaMediaCompany, demonstrated a step-by-step registration algorithm. Technically, it's all simple: an Instagram account is all that's needed to log in, after which you can import your profile. But behind this simplicity lies an important managerial point: the organization gains a direct channel of communication without separate development or large advertising budgets.

And the first results were quick to appear. Immediately after the seminar, Marina created a thread on the best of Lida's products, and enterprises joined the discussion. From the comments on the thread, it was clear that dozens of accounts registered right during the seminar, while those already familiar with the platform confidently led conversations nearby. A regular post became a vivid lesson: the platform works when there are people in it ready to talk about their business.

Why is this important for the Lida district? If an enterprise is absent from dialogue platforms, it risks losing control over how its activities are perceived. This social network gives the opportunity to be not just the subject of discussion, but a participant in it.
