The volume of pharmaceutical production will exceed 3 billion rubles by the end of 2026, announced Yuri Pokhodnya, General Director of RUP "Managing Company of the Holding "Belfarmprom", at a press conference dedicated to the Day of Workers in the Pharmaceutical and Microbiological Industry.

"All the development and production parameters set for us are being fulfilled in full. Over the past five years, more than 350 new medicines have been released. The head of state has instructed us to release at least 50 new medicines per year, and we are coping with this task. In 2026, more than 55 new medicines were released, and in 2024, more than 60," said Yuri Pokhodnya.

The implementation of nine investment projects with a total value of over 65 million rubles has been completed.

The pharmaceutical market in Belarus includes approximately 1,630 medicines. Six enterprises of the holding company produce more than 700 medicines from this list.

"By the end of 2026, the production volume will exceed 3 billion rubles. 40% of this volume is the production of the enterprises of the Belfarmprom holding," said Yuri Pokhodnya.

The export potential of the enterprises is also quite significant, according to him. More than $230 million worth of medicines are released to the export market every year, and 70% of this volume is produced by the enterprises of the Belfarmprom holding.

The share of domestic medicines in the domestic pharmaceutical market in monetary terms is currently 52%. In physical terms, Belarusian medicines in the pharmacy segment exceed 65%, and in the hospital segment, their share is more than 80%. The dominant volume in total production, both in the hospital and pharmacy segments, belongs to the enterprises of the holding company.

In general, the pharmaceutical industry in Belarus is represented by organizations of state and private ownership. 50 enterprises have a license for the production and wholesale of pharmaceutical products. The Belfarmprom holding includes eight enterprises, six of which are manufacturers of medicines, one enterprise produces medical devices, and one scientific and practical enterprise - a scientific center that conducts research in the field of pharmaceutical production, quality control of medicines, and related scientific developments and scientific support of state scientific programs.

The holding company Belfarmprom has 25 commercial partners, with which cooperation agreements have been signed.
