The President's aide – inspector for Gomel Region familiarized himself with the work of the meat processing enterprise, discussed with the management the prospects for its further development.

As Yuri Valevaty emphasized, the situation at the plant today is not the simplest, but thanks to the efforts of the regional executive committee and the actions of the plant's own management, a positive trend has emerged overall. It is important that production is export-oriented, and foreign shipments are steadily increasing.

According to First Deputy Director Lyudmila Piatnitskaya, the Gomel Meat Processing Plant produces 120 types of sausage products and 70 semi-finished products. The products are exported to six countries: Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, and China. With China, very productive relations have been established; there, Gomel meat-and-bone semi-finished products and simply bones, which are used for roasting, are in high demand.

– The plant has the main things: traditions, technologies, and, of course, people – qualified personnel. It is necessary to review certain approaches in working with raw material zones, refine product lines, and then – capture the market, increase production volumes and product sales, – said the President's aide.
