The State Control Committee of the Grodno Region has found goods in trade facilities whose sale has been prohibited in the republic since 2021.

Thus, at the market in the town of Lida, two individual entrepreneurs allowed the sale of 16 names of cosmetic goods under the Nivea brand that are prohibited from import and sale in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

The sale of prohibited goods on the territory of the Republic of Belarus is classified as illegal entrepreneurial activity and entails the imposition of a fine on the person violating the ban ranging from 20 to 200 basic units (for an individual entrepreneur), up to 500 basic units (for a legal entity), with confiscation of up to 100% of the income and goods obtained from such activity.

The prohibited goods have been removed from sale, and the information has been forwarded to the tax authorities to bring the guilty parties to administrative liability.

At one of the markets in the city of Grodno, the Committee together with the Tax Inspectorate identified unmarked imported alcoholic products without accompanying documents confirming the legality of their purchase. The goods have been withdrawn from sale, and the individual entrepreneur has been held administratively liable in the form of a fine exceeding 9,000 rubles.
