
The Board of the National Bank approved the list of commemorative coins and commemorative banknotes that are legal tender in Belarus, planned for release into circulation in 2027, reported BELTA in the press service of the National Bank.
Six commemorative coins will be dedicated to anniversary dates: the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belarus and China, the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ales Adamovich, the 110th anniversary of the establishment of the Belarusian militia, and the 110th anniversary of the establishment of the Belarusian State Security Committee. Also dedicated to the anniversary theme are the coins "Mirsky Castle. 500 Years" from the series "Palaces and Castles of Belarus" and "Minsk. 960 Years" from the series "Cities of Belarus".
The theme of historical and cultural values will be continued with commemorative coins: "Palace and Park Complex 'Veliky Svyatsk Valovichy'" from the series "Palaces and Castles of Belarus"; "Icon of the Holy Mother of God 'Ushetsarytsa'" from the series "Orthodox Miracle-Working Icons"; "Lida", "Zaslavye", "Pinsk", "Turov", "Kobryn", "Navahrudak" from the series "Cities of Belarus"; "Sun", "Earth", "Star", "Love", "Mother", "Child", "Fields" from the series "Nation's Code: Belarusian Ornament"; "Kazimir Malevich" from the series "Belarusian Artistic Avant-Garde"; "Golden Oriole" from the series "Bird of the Year"; "Braslav Lakes" from the series "Mystery of Belarusian Waters"; "National Academic Grand Theatre of Opera and Ballet of the Republic of Belarus".
In 2027, it is also planned to issue the first commemorative banknote of the National Bank made on a polymer basis — "Belarusian Historical Heritage. 5 rubles".
