He emphasized the openness and constructive nature of the dialogue between the parties and Nurdin Mamajonov. Answering journalists’ questions, he noted that he has been coming to the region not for the first time and during this time he has observed clear and rapid achievement of the goals set by the heads of state: “In the Mogilev region, 14 enterprises with Uzbek capital have already been registered. This indicates that there are first results. But, as the chairman of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee rightly noted, this is only the beginning. As a result of today’s negotiations, almost all directions of industry, agriculture, especially livestock, were touched upon. After a ten‑day work of the Surkhandaryn region delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which preceded today’s meeting, the delegation has already developed eight new livestock projects. This means that representatives of business circles have already found partners or suitable farms where they are ready to work.”

As Nurdin Mamajonov reported, a discussion today also covered the timber industry: “Of course, there is also a very large potential here. Because Uzbekistan is developing not only as a state but also supplies countries and regions of Central Asia. Food products are also a very important issue. And today very good agreements were reached regarding the active involvement, for example, of the flour milling sector in joint projects. This indicates that the parties are finding mutually beneficial constructive projects that will bring benefits to both Uzbekistan and Belarus tomorrow. This will develop the mutual trade turnover between our countries,” he concluded.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Anatoly Isachenko and Ulugbek Kosimov signed an Agreement between the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the hokimiyat of Surkhandaryn Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan
