Can you imagine a modern world without roads, without the ability to get quickly and conveniently to where you need to go, without efficient movement of goods, without traveling and meeting with relatives and loved ones living in different settlements? That is why it is no wonder that both large and very small roads are called arteries of life. Like blood vessels in the human body, they help us move quickly and unobstructedly in the right direction. Yet we do not always remember the people who constantly keep the roads orderly, ensuring our comfortable travel.
On the eve of the holiday, a routine workday began at DRSU‑177: construction equipment and road crews had already dispersed to their sites, and in the chief's office the current production matters were being addressed. They were handled meticulously, at a relaxed pace, and, as always, productively. At the appointed time, our conversation with the head of DRSU‑177, Alexander Leonidovich Ostapchuk, began.
– Alexander Leonidovich, please tell us what production results your team has achieved as you approach your professional holiday.
– The road sector, as before, faces large-scale tasks. This year has allowed our enterprise to develop steadily and look confidently into the future. Today, DRSU‑177 maintains almost 660 kilometers of roads, of which 449.7 kilometers have improved pavement and 210 kilometers are gravel. In 2010, by decision of the Brest Oblispolkom, 361 kilometers of rural streets were transferred to our balance. The total length of roads and streets under our care now exceeds 1,020 kilometers. In addition, the
Repairs have been carried out on the asphalt concrete pavement of the Ogdemer - Drohichyn - Horadets highway from Perkovichi to Piganovichi, as well as on sections of the roads Braševiči - M10, Pervomaisk - Antopal, and in the agrotown of Zakozel.
In the coming days, it is planned to complete the asphalt paving of the gravel section of the road from Perespy to Markavichy.
One of the most significant facilities put into operation this year is undoubtedly the urban settlement of Antopal, where, as is known, the district "Dozhinki" was held. Over three million rubles were spent on the work carried out here.
We also took an active part in preparing for the regional harvest festival in the agrotown of "Zhemchuzhny" in the Baranavichy district.
Thanks to the labor of our workers, new asphalt concrete pavement has appeared on the rural streets of the agrotowns of Bezdziezh and Osavtsy, as well as in the village of Hubernya. Currently, work is underway to prepare for the asphalt paving of Polyeva and Naberezhnaya streets in Sirenivka.
I would like to mention the foreman Dmitry Anatolyevich Kodluba, whose portrait is on the Honor Board of the Brestobldorstroy Republican Unitary Enterprise, senior masters Alexander Ivanovich Kachan, Oleg Petrovich Bilevich, Viktor Ivanovich Borovik, who have been working in our organization for over 20 years. Senior master Alexander Ivanovich Kachan was awarded a certificate of honor by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus. The machine operator of the bulldozer Vladimir Nikolaevich Brukhan and the road worker Sergey Nikolaevich Kovalyevich were awarded the certificate of honor of the Brestobldorstroy Republican Unitary Enterprise.
With the medals of DRSU‑177 we awarded road worker Nikolay Mikhailovich Voloshko, driver Alexander Nikolaevich Kuksu, mechanic for repairing road construction equipment and tractors Valery Leonidovich Kively, and accountant Yulia Aleksandrovna Shulzhik.
Drivers Vasiliy Vladimirovich Okhrimchik and Nikolay Fedorovich Senkevich received Honorary Certificates from the Drogičín District Council of Deputies and the Drogičín District Executive Committee. A letter of gratitude from the Drogičín District Executive Committee was awarded to tractor driver Alexander Nikolaevich Volosyuk.
Overall, our workforce is fairly stable. Only employees who reach retirement age leave. Youth, who usually stay with the organization for a long time, come in their place. Recently we hired a car driver, and soon we may also hire a mechanic.
– As a manager, you communicate daily with the team, know the problems and requests of each worker. What would you like to wish the employees of DRSU‑177 on this festive day?
– First of all, I want to express deep gratitude and respect for their hard work, for the fact that they work diligently and faithfully, in any weather – hot or cold – for the benefit of our common cause. Special words of thanks to our veterans: you have dedicated your life to a difficult but very important profession, laid hundreds of kilometers of roads, and trained a worthy generation. Thank you for your conscientious, honest work, for the roads that always lead to people.

I wish all employees and their families good health, prosperity, new
