The Prosecutor's Office of the Gomel Region has sent to court a criminal case against the director of an industrial enterprise, his deputy for economics, and the assistant to the manager for production and procurement matters – they are accused of abuse of official powers committed out of selfish and other personal interest, by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, resulting in serious consequences.

According to the case materials, the enterprise director, being an official, was aware that the socio-economic development forecast indicators and other business plans were not being met. Wanting to avoid reproach and criticism from higher management, the accused, by prior conspiracy with his deputy for economics and the assistant for production and procurement matters, 'drew up' favorable indicators for themselves.

Specifically, from February 2024 to November 2025, exceeding the limits of their authority and official powers, they gave knowingly illegal instructions to subordinate employees to enter false information about the quantity of manufactured products into official documents. These actions led to distortions in state statistical reporting data and tax deductions.

Thus, despite the enterprise's losses and the actual absence of legal grounds for accruing profit tax, the legal entity paid tax to the budget in the amount of more than 272 thousand rubles, which constitutes damage in an especially large amount.

The criminal case was under investigation by the Investigative Department of the SK of the Republic of Belarus for the Gomel Region.

After reviewing the materials of the criminal case, the Prosecutor's Office of the Gomel Region concluded that the accusation was justified and that the circumstances of the crime had been objectively examined. They agreed with the qualification of the accused's actions under Part 3 of Article 426 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

The damage caused by the crime, amounting to more than 272 thousand rubles, has been fully compensated.
