The gross regional product (GRP) of Brest Oblast grew by 3.4% in January–August. This was reported by the chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, Petr Parhomchik.

"Positive dynamics are being maintained literally in all areas of financial and economic activity. For some indicators, there is a slight shortfall in meeting targets. As for GRP, the growth rate is 103.4%, and the volume of industrial production is 105%," noted Petr Parhomchik.

In Brest Oblast, over the past five years, 110 thousand hectares of updated reclaimed land have been put into operation.

He urged to increase the construction sector. At the same time, builders fulfilled their obligations to construct housing, including for those in need of improved living conditions, rental. The regional head noted that investment in the region fell slightly short. In this regard, he highlighted the good work of Brest, Ivanovo, Pinsk, and Pruzhany districts.

"Regarding exports, the dynamics compared to the 2025 level are 22%. Brest and Baranovichi are performing well, including thanks to a new investment project implemented in the city. When there are investments, the corresponding result will always follow over time, — the chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee is convinced. — I will give another example. The head of one of the districts is currently on a visit to Brazil. The goal is a business project with partners to create special agricultural equipment. In a short period, telephone negotiations and video conferences were held. They went to discuss the creation of a joint venture with an organization producing equipment on the territory of Brest Oblast."

Petr Parhomchik is satisfied with the results in the
