The situation in the industrial complex was discussed at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Alexander Turčin, with the participation of ministry and conglomerate heads, as well as enterprise directors. This was reported by BELTA in the government press service.

Among the topical issues were what hinders more dynamic growth, what reserves are available, and what needs to be done to accelerate. Results of work over eight months were reviewed. Special attention was given to enterprises where a decline in production volumes has been noted.

"Working for the warehouse is unacceptable. The talk is not only about numbers. First and foremost, it is about the responsible attitude of managers," the press service noted.

Alexander Turčin noted that, on the one hand, there is positive dynamics, production volumes are growing. However, the situation in some industries and in a number of enterprises cannot but be alarming. "For a whole range of enterprises, I do not see any actions by their management to rectify the situation. This is reflected in work on the external contour, the domestic situation, and work on cost optimization," said the prime minister.

This meeting on the topic is not the first. In February, the participants agreed on the principles and mechanisms of work. "If you think we will simply watch all this, you are mistaken," added Alexander Turčin.
