The Gomel region has entered the top list for online firewood orders

Since October 1, an online firewood ordering service has begun operating in Belarus. It allows users to submit and pay for firewood requests at forest enterprises without visiting forest offices—via the website drova.belgosles.by or through a dedicated Telegram bot, gp.by reported to the Ministry of Forestry.

Initially, the service only allowed ordering round firewood; later, the option to order split firewood became available at those forest enterprises that produce it.

The new service also enables the recording and analysis of requests submitted through traditional means. This helps the Ministry of Forestry track the timeliness and completeness of order fulfillment and intervene promptly when problems arise.

In October, Belarusians submitted more than 21,000 firewood requests totaling over 165,000 cubic meters. Most have already been fulfilled: 122,000 cubic meters have been shipped to consumers.

According to analytics, 94 % of requests were for round firewood (19,774 requests), while 6 % were for split firewood (1,257 requests).

More than 50 % of all requests were submitted in person by visiting forest offices, another 25 % were made by phone. About 20 % of requests were placed via the new web platform drova.belgosles.by, and an additional 4 % used the Telegram bot. The total number of citizens who used the new online service in October was nearly 5,000.

The highest activity came from residents of the Minsk and Gomel regions: in October they submitted 5,128 and 4,997 requests respectively.

The Ministry of Forestry thanked citizens for their feedback on the online service. Shortcomings identified during its use were promptly examined and addressed.
