The gold and foreign exchange reserves of Belarus as of October 1 totaled $14.6 billion

As explained by the National Bank, the reduction in gold and foreign exchange reserves is due to the decline in gold prices on international markets.

The largest share in the structure of Belarus' international reserve assets is held by foreign currency assets and monetary gold. According to the National Bank, the volume of foreign currency in reserves as of October 1 was $5.9917 billion, having increased by $74.1 million in September, while the volume of monetary gold was $7.2376 billion, having decreased by $675.1 million.

In accordance with the target indicators of monetary policy, the volume of Belarus' international reserve assets should be at least $9.2 billion by the end of 2026.
