The CIS Economic Council adopted several documents aimed at developing economic, transport, innovative, and humanitarian cooperation among CIS states. The decisions were made on November 11 at the 111th session of the council in Ashgabat, which was reported by BelTA to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

In private, a plan for implementing the Transport Security Strategy was disclosed – covering the implementation of international cargo transportation between CIS states for the period 2026–2030. The document addresses comprehensive measures for practical realization of coordinated approaches to regulating transport security. The Economic Council also improved the project for the Implementation Plan of the Concept for Harmonization of National Air Transport Systems of CIS member states. It is expected that the adoption of these documents will enable improving safety, regularity, and economy of civilian aviation flights, as well as the quality of air transport.

One of the decisions from the meeting was the assignment of technological platform status to the "Business Development Platform" within the framework of the Intergovernmental Program for Innovation Cooperation of CIS states by 2030. This platform is intended to develop long-term cooperation between development institutes, engineers, higher education institutions, and government bodies, ensuring communication between knowledge, education, and the real sector of economies.

Additionally, the CIS Economic Council assigned basic organizational status to four state institutions of the CIS. In the field of transfiguration/logistics, such status was taken by the Republican Scientific-Practical Center of Transfiguration and Medical Biotechnology (Belarus). In the field of continuous professional education specialists, the Russian State Medical Academy of Continuous Professional Education of the Ministry of Health of Russia was defined as the base organization. Status as a base organization in the field of medical rehabilitation and sanatorium-curative treatment was assigned to the National Research Rehabilitation and Curative Tourism Center of the Ministry of Health of Russia. In the sphere of methodological and technical support for computerized social development projects, the Uzbekistan Scientific-Technical and Marketing Research Center (UNICON.UZ) received this status.

Of the 12 documents considered at the 111th meeting of the Economic Council of the CIS, they will be submitted in the future to the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth. The next meeting of the Economic Council of the CIS is scheduled for November 27, 2026, in Moscow.
