In September 2026, inflation in Belarus rose to 4.6% in annual terms. A month earlier, the indicator was at the level of 4.5%. Thus, the growth of consumer prices continued to accelerate. This is stated in the economic review of the situation in the EAEU countries by the Eurasian Development Bank. The key driver of the price surge, according to EDB analysts, was non-food products: their price growth accelerated to 3.7% year-on-year from 3.2% year-on-year. This happened after the list of regulated products was reduced. Another factor was services - they became more expensive by 9.0% year-on-year after 8.7% year-on-year in August. Against this background, inflation of around 5% year-on-year is forecast by the end of the year.
