On Monday, October 19, 2026, a significant event took place at the Belarusian Currency-Fund Exchange: the US dollar rate fell for the first time in a long time below the psychological mark of 3 Belarusian rubles. The American currency depreciated by 0.49%, the Chinese yuan lost 0.48%, while the Russian ruble, on the contrary, strengthened by 0.24%. Thus, the Belarusian ruble strengthened against the dollar and yuan, but slightly weakened against the Russian currency.

This is evidenced by data published on the BVFB website.

This is the first case since October 13 when the dollar rate was below the 3 ruble mark, which testifies to a notable strengthening of the Belarusian ruble against the US currency.

The European currency showed the strongest decline — by 0.96%, or 0.0325 rubles, falling to a level of 3.3555 BYN. This is the lowest euro rate in the last two and a half months.
