Today a delegation from the Gomel region, led by Governor Ivan Krupko, is working in the city of Changchun, Jilin province. The Telegram channel “Gomelshchina Officially” reports.

The first stop on the itinerary was the FAW company, which specializes in the production of commercial trucks. The guests were told about the company's history, the process of building vehicles, and were shown the assembly line operations.

The factory is located within the Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone for the automotive industry. The plant produces seven main car models, including electric ones, as well as their components.

Among its priority areas are the development of intelligent cabins, solid‑state batteries, flying cars, and other cutting‑edge technologies.

During a meeting with FAW management, the prospects for cooperation between Gomel enterprises and the Chinese automotive corporation were discussed.

Enterprises in the southeastern region are interested in cooperating with FAW. In particular, “GomselselMash” proposes joint development and design bureaus with the Chinese company. Moreover, the Gomel region is ready to discuss supplying vehicles for the transport of its own products.

“We see growth opportunities and prospects for cooperation with the FAW corporation. To make the interaction effective and productive, we need to develop a phased algorithm, including cooperation with individual enterprises,” said Chairman of the Oblispolkom Ivan Krupko.
