The Dodo Pizza restaurant chain was subjected to a cyberattack. The incident affected the company's IT system, and client data may have been accessible to attackers. On September 28, the company announced this through its official Telegram channel "Dodo Pizza Russia". The National Center for Personal Data Protection in Belarus confirmed the information.

According to the company, it could involve customer names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, and order compositions. At the same time, payment data is not stored by Dodo Pizza according to their statement, so they were not harmed as a result of the attack. Attacker access has already been blocked, and an internal investigation is ongoing.

The official comment from Dodo Pizza Russia was published in the company's Telegram channel:

"Friends, yesterday and today (September 27 and 28 - note: these dates refer to the past relative to the article's publication) a cyberattack occurred on our IT system. The information security team is doing everything to prevent such incidents from happening again. For now we want to openly share which data parts of our clients might have been exposed: names, addresses, emails, phones, dates of birth, order compositions. We do not store payment data - they are secure.

We have notified Roskomnadzor about what happened. Attacker access has been blocked, and an internal investigation continues. If your account gets hacked, don't worry: this is one of the measures to protect accounts."

A representative of the "Bobruisk Media" information agency separately contacted Dodo Pizza's customer support regarding whether the cyberattack affected customers from Belarus. In response, they stated:

"The attack affected all customers, we continue investigating and taking protective measures against accounts. We will try to do everything to ensure this does not happen again."

This is not the first such incident for Belarus this year. On May 26, the National Center for Personal Data Protection reported an incident of illegal distribution of OOO "Pizza Star" company's client data operating under the brand "Dodo Pizza". As a result of that incident, personal names, delivery addresses, phone numbers, and registration dates of customers were compromised.
