President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 310 “On the Establishment of the Academy of Intellectual Technologies” on September 10. This was reported by BelTA.

Starting September 1, 2027, the Academy will begin training specialists in natural sciences, industrial and digital technologies, and other promising areas.

A unique selection procedure in the format of a national competition is provided for admission. School graduates, college students, university students, enterprise specialists, and scientists will be able to take part in it. Preliminary selections will be held in Minsk, regional centers, and major cities. Those wishing to study at the Academy will have to present a creative idea, development, invention, or rationalization proposal.

The final stage of selection is a practical intensive course at the Academy involving individual and group assignments, public defense of a project, and passing internal entrance examinations.

Leading scientists and teachers, managers and practicing specialists from enterprises who have achieved significant results in scientific, innovative, and production fields will be involved in the educational process at the Academy.

A special approach is also provided for training programs. They can be adjusted based on industry demands. Students will be able to independently choose special courses, related specialization, or specialty. Training at enterprises with solving real production tasks, as well as group and individual project and research activities, will be organized for them. All this will make it possible to produce a specific product aimed at implementation in the real sector of the economy and commercialization.

Experimental curricula and advanced methodologies tested at the Academy will be introduced into other educational institutions, which will ensure further improvement in the quality of specialist training.

Upon completion of training, students will be required to pass a state examination and defend a startup project or applied research work.

Coordination of the Academy's work and control over its activities will be carried out by a supervisory board chaired by the Minister of Education. The board will include heads of sectoral ministries and agencies, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and the High-Tech Park.

The creation of the Academy will make it possible to form a flexible, interdisciplinary scientific and educational environment of a new type, which will be oriented toward practical results and integrated into real economic processes, taking into account the country's needs.
