The mercury rises, sales are up. A report from Mozyrbrew

The thermometer this week will approach the 30-degree mark, and some people react negatively to the heat. But at the "Mozyrbrew" enterprise, the feeling is quite the opposite — they are glad. Because the heat means their production facilities are operating at full capacity. Residents of Mozyr traditionally quench their thirst with a kvass beverage — the kind drawn straight from a barrel, just like in the old Soviet days. During the season, they work without days off.

The kvass beverages "Mozyrsky" and "Kvasok "Zamkovy" feature a natural recipe, quality ingredients, and that very same GOST-standard taste. These are non-alcoholic drinks. The product range also includes many low-alcohol items. "Zbiten" and "Medovukha" are brands of the Mozyr region, and indeed, throughout the entire republic. These are Old Slavic traditional beverages made from honey and herbs. By the way, natural honey is purchased from a beekeeper, while the herbs come from a farmer who gathers wild herbs. Both small shops and large retail chains carry their products. The enterprise has around 100 unique recipes in total, but for now they have settled on 15 — the best sellers. Over its history — more than 140 years — "Mozyrbrew" has gone through various times, both profitable and economically challenging. But the ability to re-profile in time and produce not for warehouse stock but for actual sales has helped it stay afloat even in the most difficult situations. In March of this year, the enterprise emerged from the rehabilitation procedure — officially, "Mozyrbrew" is no longer bankrupt.

The company is constantly working on new products. While "Zbiten" and "Medovukha" no longer need advertising, a beverage like "Braggot" is only just entering the market and winning over consumers — it is a kind of beer-based variation of medovukha. By the way, the enterprise promises to bring back into production the legendary Mozyr beer, which has not been brewed since 2004.
