Tea, chocolate, bread. Products of several manufacturers have been banned from sale in Belarus

Products of several manufacturers have fallen under a ban on implementation in Belarus, according to the State Standard's registry of hazardous products, reports BELTA.

We are talking about the Greenfield tea drink with buckwheat and cocoa beans (manufacturer - LLC "Orimi", RF), gray grain gluten-free bread labeled "Dietika" (manufacturer - LLC "Dietika", RF), and also bitter chocolate "72% cocoa" without sugar labeled "Victory of Taste" (manufacturer - LLC "Confectionery Factory Victory", RF).

It is noted that an excess of mold content was found in the tea drink. Thus, the amount of mold, with a permissible level of no more than 100 CFU/g, amounted to 7×10^3 CFU/g. Hence, the indicator exceeded the norm by 70 times. Moreover, bacteria of the coliform group were found in the product, which is unacceptable.

During the inspection, impermissible food additives for this type of product were found in the composition of the grain bread "Dietika". Specifically, these are the caramel color IV sugar dye (E150d), the thickener xanthan gum (E415), and the acidity regulator citric acid (E330).

Furthermore, specialists determined that the chocolate labeled "Victory of Taste" does not correspond to the identification characteristics and individual requirements imposed on this type of product. Thus, with a norm of cocoa butter content of 33% or more, the actual figure was 27.3%, and the mass fraction of cocoa butter equivalents, with a norm of no more than 5%, amounted to 7.03%. Consequently, the test results do not allow the product to be identified as bitter chocolate.
