The Belarusian government has submitted to the House of Representatives a bill amending the Tax Code, reports BELTA. The Ministry of Finance explained that traditional indexation will affect fees set in rubles — this is necessary to preserve their real value taking inflation into account.

What will change by 6.2%: they plan to increase transport, land, and environmental taxes, as well as fees for extraction of natural resources, dog ownership, and gambling business by that amount. A similar increase will apply to the single tax for individual entrepreneurs and individuals, as well as personal income tax in fixed amounts.

How specific fixed fees will change:

  • The tax on professional income and the minimum threshold of the single tax for individuals will increase from 45 to 48 rubles.
  • The fee for owners of agro-estates will also rise from 45 to 48 rubles.
  • The craft fee will increase from 10 to 11 rubles.

Changes to excise taxes: excise rates will be reviewed according to a different principle. They will be influenced by world oil prices, international agreements of the country, as well as state policy regarding cigarettes and alcoholic beverages. Moreover, for taxation, elite alcohol will now be separated into a completely distinct category.
