The price of government-supported housing per square meter should not exceed the average monthly salary, and the quality must meet modern requirements. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated this at a meeting on the prospects of housing construction and improving the efficiency of rental housing.

The head of state reminded that in Belarus, in 2026–2030, it is planned to build 6.5 million square meters of residential space with state support, 5 million of which will be rental. "The priorities remain the same: the price of a square meter must not exceed the average monthly salary, and the commissioning deadlines must be standard. As for quality... It is necessary to ensure that a person can move into a house or apartment and live there," the Belarusian leader noted.
