In Belarus, the base rate will increase from September 1. The Ministry of Labor explained how many workers will receive a salary increase.

Starting September 1, the base rate will be increased to 300 rubles.

The base rate is the main element of the wage tariff system. Various incentive and compensatory payments are tied to it. Therefore, with its increase, the corresponding payments will grow proportionally.

The increase will raise the salaries of 770 thousand public sector workers.

How much public sector employees are paid

According to the results of the first half of 2026, the average monthly salary of employees of budget-funded organizations amounted to 2,328.6 rubles.

"Nominal wages grew by 16.4% compared to the same period last year, real wages — by 10.5%, outpacing inflation," the Ministry of Labor reported.

The pace of wage growth for public sector employees exceeds the overall wage growth in the economy by 3.2 percentage points.

Approximately 23.8 billion rubles are planned to be allocated for wages of public sector workers in 2026.
