Agricultural enterprises of the country move to one of the most important stages — depositing products into stabilization funds as autumn approaches. Since last year, the deposit of fruit and vegetable products into stabilization funds in Belarus has been converted to a state order. This systematic measure is already demonstrating its effectiveness based on leading agricultural enterprises.

Participation in the stabilization fund deposit is open to both state enterprises and peasant-farmer households. Among them are SPK "Kolhoz" "Rodina" of Belynichsky District, JSC "Firm" "Kadino" and KFH "Tsarevo" of Mogilevsky District, KFH "Diana" and KFH "Gomon Agro" of Shklovsky District, KFH "Sadovoe" of Osipovichsky District, UKSP "Sovkhoz" "Dobrovolts" of Klitsyevsky District and others.

For example, at JSC "Firm" "Kadino" the campaign for depositing the new crop of vegetables is proceeding qualitatively, and the volumes deposited for storage speak eloquently of new approaches in ensuring food security.

As explained by section head Maxim Mikhlin, in the enterprise plan is to store in vegetable warehouses approximately 1000 tons of onions, an equal amount of cabbage, 500 tons of beets, and 2000 tons of potatoes.

"Each vegetable requires its own temperature regime and humidity," explains Maxim Sergeevich. "Practice shows that we store everything properly and in high quality every year. If we remove, for example, dry onions in good weather, then we store them dry. Then we dry them for about 10 days and then proceed with the storage temperature regime."

A significant part of the deposited products will be directed toward providing food for budgetary organizations: children's kindergartens in Mogilev city and Mogilevsky District, schools of the district, pensions, colleges and lyceums of the city. Such orientation underscores the social responsibility of the enterprise and its contribution to the well-being of regional residents.

The driver Nikolai Bazyliev skillfully transports containers of vegetables. At first glance, his task seems simple — to bring them to the place, lift them, rearrange them. But behind this seemingly easy task lies great experience and responsible attitude toward the matter.

"I have worked in the farm for 13 years," says Nikolai Ivanovich.

According to the man, there are no minor details in harvesting the crop. Each stage is important, and the final result depends on how well it is carried out.

"Responsibility must be present. There is work here. Everything comes down to a common cause. And whether people will have fresh vegetables on their tables until spring depends on us."

Mechanic Sergei Voitkov closely watches the process of transporting potatoes into storage. His task is to monitor the uninterrupted operation of the equipment: the receiving and transport bunker and the line along which the tubers are conveyed onto the belt and then into storage.

— I service the equipment comprehensively: lubricating parts where needed, replacing bearings. Everything must be done on time — then the machinery won’t let you down, — says Sergei Alexandrovich.
