The GOMEL region’s State Control and Inspection Committee identified inflated costs for the construction and reconstruction of agricultural facilities. Violations were found during the review of cost estimates for projects covered by the State Program “Future Agricultural Complex” for 2026–2030.

In the local cost estimates for building a pig‑rearing complex in the Mozyr district, reinforced concrete products were included with a carrying capacity inflated by 1.7 times, which increased the project’s cost by almost 500,000 rubles. After reviewing the estimate, corrections were made, and the excess funds transferred to the general contractor were returned in full to the client.

Another instance of inflated costs was identified during the reconstruction of the drainage system in the Petrykivsky district. Analysis of the cost estimates revealed that the quantity of mortar included in the estimate was 1,200 times greater than necessary. Consequently, the estimated cost of the drainage system reconstruction was reduced by 140,000 rubles. This prevented the unjustified expenditure of budget funds.
