AAT "New Pripyat" – one of four regional entrepreneurs engaged in beet cultivation. Selyta (they) harvested from 14 hectares. The quality was outstanding: nearly 300 centners per hectare. A storage facility for beets is located in the village of Tory.

That is where we set out to see how the harvesting process works.

Tatsiana Bryshchuk leads the process, who explained that for the planting ground they give priority to the "First Flower" variety since it is exceptionally preserved and consistently shows great quality. This year, despite the relatively quiet year, the beets did not fail and gained popularity once more. Part of them is used for kormishchy (beet dishes), which are traditionally prepared in autumn.

– Our beets are highly valued, because people know their tasty qualities, – says Tatsiana Uladimirova. – I believe there will be significant demand for them this year as well.

And on the field near the village of Horisk on a beet harvester, Anatoly Patrubeika and Yuriy Kalyada were working. During our visit, Fedor Stadnik arrived, who has worked as a harvester driver for seven years.
