Farmers of the Natopa-Agro joint-stock company in the Mstislavl district have gotten off to a good start with the sowing of winter grain crops. They are carrying out their field work in a comprehensive manner.
According to the plan, 2,380 hectares have been allocated for winter grain in this enterprise. As of October 9, over 66% of the target area has been sown.
Sowing at this agricultural enterprise is being carried out by a single seeding unit. From the first day of the sowing campaign, a young machine operator, Kirill Volkov, has been working on the fields of the enterprise with an MTZ-3522 tractor and a Berezina-9600 seeder. The guy is a conscientious and responsible worker who performs his duties with quality. He began his working life in 2021. Then there was a short break for urgent military service, after which he returned to his native farm.
This spring, he worked on the sowing of spring crops, and in the summer he was busy with fodder harvesting. Then Kirill Volkov switched to a grain combine harvester. He threshed more than a thousand tons of grain. Currently, he has already sown 1,560 hectares, and this figure increases every day.
On Wednesday morning, he finished sowing near the village of Bely Mokh and promptly moved to a plot near the agro-town of Podsol'tsovo. Here, working on the same MTZ-3522 but with a PSP-20 loader, is Vladimir Volkov. The farm management's tactic is correct: the 30-year-old experience of the senior Volkov will be useful for his son in the field. Vladimir Viktorovich will not only supply the seeder with seed but will also offer advice and help in case of a technical malfunction.
"This field is about 140 hectares," says Kirill. "With good weather — today by midday, and a couple more days and the plot will be processed. I followed in my father's footsteps and don't regret it at all. No matter what anyone says, my work is to my liking. The tractor is powerful and new. Working on such machinery is a pleasure."
It's hard not to believe the sincerity of the young man's words: would a person really work in the field from dawn to dusk if the job didn't bring him satisfaction?
Eight working days in autumn
Igor Demyankov and Andrey Kamenshchikov are engaged in plowing at this joint-stock company. Another important stage — soil preparation — is being carried out by experienced machine operators Viktor Lisovich and Pyotr Yatsyk.
Also working diligently is the mechanized brigade of the farm, engaged in corn harvesting. For the farm's cattle, 379 hectares of corn were sown, of which 288 hectares have already been harvested. For the communal herd, 5,608 tons of corn silage have been prepared.
