Road Repairs in the Bykhov District: Results and Plans

tania August 31, 2026 9:06 As part of the implementation of the State Program "Roads of Belarus" for 2026–2030, the road infrastructure of our district is continuously transforming. Repairs are underway on sections of both local and republican significance. To replace the worn-out pavement, a modern surface is being laid: public automobile roads are getting a new look, becoming more comfortable and safe.

Republican Routes

The current repair of a section of the R-97 Mogilev — Bykhov — Rachev highway is nearing completion. Workers of the Road Construction and Repair Unit No. 76 of the "Mogilevavtodor" state enterprise, on a 2.4-kilometer stretch from the village of Irditsa to the agricultural town of Ludchitsy, have carried out milling and laid a new asphalt concrete pavement.

For these purposes, 810 thousand rubles were allocated from the republican budget, of which almost 700 thousand have been spent to date. The road workers still need to install bus shelters and create turnoffs from the main route.

In parallel, specialists from the enterprise are performing routine maintenance work: clearing debris, mowing the roadside verges and drainage strips, and patching potholes. In the near future, plans include continuing the paving of streets in the agricultural town of Sledyuki.

Local Network

No less responsibly, the workers of the Road Construction and Repair Unit No. 196 are working on their sections, turning worn-out pavement into a reliable surface. The main focus here is on the quality of work and traffic safety.

On the Bykhov — Khomichi highway section, the installation of a protective gravel layer (surface treatment) has been completed. The length of the updated route is 8 kilometers. Also, this month, the major repair of a bridge in the agricultural town of Neryazh was fully completed—the structure has been converted into a corrugated metal pipe, and its commissioning is currently underway.

This week, work began on the Krasnaya Sloboda — Lipovka — Khachinka highway. Using funds from the republican road fund, a protective asphalt concrete layer will be laid over 2.5 km, shoulders will be constructed, and road signs will be replaced.

Important: Traffic on this section is temporarily restricted. Drivers are required to reduce speed and strictly comply with the temporary signs.

Plans and the Urban Environment

In September, the road near the agro-town of Grudinovka will be updated (a 2.1 km section). As for the major repair of Sovetskaya Street in Bykhov, the work has been fully completed this year in accordance with the allocated funding. The repair of the road surface on the street is planned to continue next year.

Good news for residents of the Kolos microdistrict: the traffic light at this section will be restored in the near future.

The transition to a new quality of roads that meet modern standards is, first and foremost, a guarantee of safety and convenience for all road users.
