Results of the sociological study on current issues of Belarus's socio-economic development were presented in Minsk.

The first part of the results of a large-scale comprehensive republican sociological study, which concerns topical issues of socio-economic development of Belarus, was presented in Minsk, reports a BELTA correspondent.

The sociological study was conducted by the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on behalf of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies (BISI) in July–August of this year.

"We are presenting today the first part of our results. We will consider the block of socio-economic issues. Then there will be a block on the socio-political situation in the country. And the final presentation will be devoted to resonant issues. We studied various aspects of the social well-being of the residents of our country. More than 2,000 respondents were surveyed, representing all regions of Belarus. The study involved both men and women, married and unmarried people, with different levels of education. It is not only about unprecedented external turbulence, under which we must honestly and objectively assess the internal situation, society's readiness for joint intensive work on the peaceful front, to which the head of state calls us. It is also about the rapid development of technology. Artificial intelligence is marching across the planet, and Belarus is no exception. Technologies are already changing, and in the near future they will further change public attitudes toward the spheres of labor, law, and communication. It is necessary to understand society's readiness for these changes, to identify problem points, and to work out countermeasures on the part of the state to prevent digital inequality," said the deputy director of BISI.
