Autumn for farmers is a time of intense and responsible work. It is important not only to grow and harvest the crop on time, but also to preserve it, in order to provide the region's residents with high-quality products during the off‑season.
In Mogilev Oblast, the formation of the stabilization fund is in full swing, and one of the leading farms in this area is OJSC 'Firm Kadino' of Mogilev District. Here, the harvest is being gathered and vegetables are being laid down for off‑season storage in full swing. This is one of the region's leading farms in the production of the 'borscht set'.
'Kadino' is rightfully considered a leader in vegetable production in the region. It is here that a significant portion of the stabilization fund — the vegetable reserve that meets the needs of hospitals, schools, kindergartens, and retail chains during the cold season — is formed.
For more than a month, a labor detachment from A. A. Kuleshov Mogilev State University has been working on Kadino's fields. The students have harvested onions, sorted beets, and are now continuing with the carrot harvest.
"The students are providing feasible assistance to the patron enterprise," said Yuri Mashin, rector of A. A. Kuleshov Mogilev State University. "The guys have already done an excellent job harvesting carrots, onions, and beets. There is still a lot of work ahead, but I am confident: our students will not let us down."
Yuri Viktorovich noted that for young people this is not a labor obligation, but an opportunity to feel like part of a great common cause — ensuring the region's food security.
"We are proud that the tradition of labor detachments lives on in our university for many years. And today's guys are worthily continuing it, working alongside experienced agronomists," said Yuri Mashin. "I want to thank the students for their responsibility and diligence, and the farm's management — for trusting us
